Polyvore: fashion

I was reading one of my favorite blogs ever the other night, Go Fug Yourself, when I followed a link from their blog to a link to another link and ended up at a website called Polyvore.

Holy fish paste Squidward, that place is fun. I went deep into the night creating one set after another.

You can create boundaries too, so if you’re a tight wad like me, you can put a limit on the pieces so nothing in your set is over $50. Then you can go right out and buy what you found online! Oh the fun, fun fun.

The last set was Precocious’ creation. She made fun of me until she got a hold of my laptop and started playing around. Then she created the cutest, predictably 10-year-old girl set, in human history. Love that monkey.

Hello there! I'm Allison Czarnecki, founder + editor of Petit Elefant, a blog all about style on a budget for every part of your life: style / home / travel / family. I do a lot of how-to beauty + style tutorials, travel posts, easy recipes, home remodel projects, and cool DIY crafts you totally want to try. I'm super happily married (to a hot Polish immigrant) and am the mother of two kids, a daughter and son, all of whom are featured here on the regular. We live in the country but we're a little bit rock + roll. Welcome!

  1. Laryssa Herbert :

Oh. My. What. Have. You. Done. To. Me.?

I could spend all day making pretty things. :-)

  2. Petit Elefant :

    I KNOW. I know. I'm sorry.

  3. Sandy :

I <3 Polyvore!! It's a great way to gather all your inspirations into one space and have a nice clean white background!

  4. Petit Elefant :

Isn't it great?! Inspiration boards all in one place!

  5. Azúcar :

Here's what I want: To go on a Palm Springs vacation with you.

    And also that yellow necklace.

  6. Laryssa Herbert :

Silly question, how did you get your set onto your blog?

  7. Petit Elefant :

Doesn't that sound amazing? To bake in the dry sun next to a cool pool of water? Maybe with an ice cold diet dr. pepper in one hand and an US Weekly in the other?

There was a link on the side to embed into my blog. Does that help?

  8. Julie {Angry Julie Monday} :

Hilarious!! Your new obsession. And I'm still sorry that I did not tell you about it before.

  9. KJ :

polyvore is a black hole and I can't believe I just admitted that I've known about it for, or, a couple of years. recreate your prom night with better taste, eh? I my case, in anything BUT the teal green monstrosity my mother forced upon me.

  10. Laurie Jones :

Polyvore is the best isn't it! I use it for my design boards all the time! Of course with clothes its like the high tech way of playing with paper dolls without the dolls! (:

  11. strawberry lemonade girl :

LOL…you are so cute. I have been swamped and haven't made it to my fave blogs in a while and I'm totally taking a breakie from work to browse.

    Love it!!!
