We’re having a great time in California. It was literally 80 degrees today so we spent a couple hours poolside lounging in the sun. Not a bad way to start Thanksgiving.
We’re staying at the Embassy Suites which has comfortable beds, free breakfast for the kiddos, a hot tub {sqeee!}, and the obvious but awesome: a television. I haven’t watched live TV since May when I banned it from the house.
I got to watch this show last night real time:
These guys hung out with me on the couch {the rooms are all two-room suites} while I indulged my teenage self,

and this one proved she’s more like me every single day by staying up well past her bedtime reading a new library book.

These toiletries are my new favorite, look how stylish and fun.

And the soap? It makes me happy.
But the best part of spending a vacation away from home with my family? Clowning around with these hooligans on someone else’s property.

Happy Thanksgiving from my hotel room to your home.

Fun! Looks pretty awesome. We are definitely not poolside here in the northern Tundra. Enjoy the warmth cuz it'll be gone when you get home.
80 degrees and it Southern California? I'll bet you're in my neck of the woods right now!
I can ONLY watch glee via DVR. it's ruined me from live tv forever, that dvr business. don't watch glee with the inlaws. it's not as good.
I hope you had a great time here in So Cal. The weather was beautiful and perfect.
Donna,
I'm not looking forward to coming back to the frozen tundra, not at all. I could get used to beach living in a real hurry.
emerzim,
I must be! I love it here!
KJ,
I can't even fathom watching Glee with my own parents, and the thought of watching it with the in-laws makes me squirm.
Angry Julie,
Oh, I'm LOVING it, having an absolute ball! I bribed the weatherman so things have been great.
