Blue is all the rage, so let’s pull up our big girl panties and do it up right: Fall fashion, wear all that blue.

Feeling blue

Let’s get real, how do you feel about blue? I’ll be honest, I’m a big fat blue fan and not just because I grew up in Cougar-town USA, (you might not get that, it’s cool – I’m talking about B.Y.U. Cougar blue).  Even if my parents didn’t bleed blue, I’ve still always loved the color.  When you’ve got dark hair and hazel eyes all those oranges and yellows you’re (slightly) obsessed with aren’t so flattering, but blue is your best girlfriend, like ever.

// Do you wear blue? //

  • dark navy blue
  • (Cougar) blue
  • powder blue
  • royal blue
  • deep ocean blue
  • (almost black) Russian Navy O.P.I. blue

Okay, so I kind of have a thing for blue.  A bit of a problem, even.  Maybe.  Sort of.  I’m not copping to anything.

Your mom wears blue.

So how do you wear all that blue?  Well, first you’ve got to figure out what kind of blue looks best on you.  Blue is one of those colors, one of the very few, that looks good on everyone.  All you need to do is figure out which shade of blue makes your eyes go BOOM and you’re set.  Wear it head to toe (yes, color blocking is still totally a thing), wear a pop of blue in a piece of jewelry, a pair of shoes, or bag.  Wear it on top, wear it on bottom.  Wear blue in a tunnel, on a boat, wear it with a goat, on your coat.

You will love it, Sam I am.

Cobalt blue is my favorite color. I have cobalt in sweaters and long sleeve tees. Great post!

Having brown hair and hazel eyes too, I understand your love for blue. And I always think that cobalt is a beautiful colour. But somehow winter, cold temperatures and blue just don’t match for me. And if at all, it has to be navy or one of those more subdued, greyish blues. I am weird like that. But I love all things dark red and berry pink and purple every winter and I find it makes hazel eyes pop as well.
