I keep it real around here, if for no other reason than I *am* real and I can’t pretend to live a magazine life when I currently have 3 loads of unfolded laundry currently sitting in cube form, blocking everything in their path, in laundry baskets in my master bathroom. I have no qualms about showing you the state of my very real, very messy laundry room in the midst of the everyday madness of raising two children in the very real world. Frankly, it’s impossible for me not to keep it real, I’d be lying through my teeth if I told you I had it all together all of the time.
So I’m super excited to tell you about something very cool Tide Pods is doing to help those of us who happen to love high fashion, but live in the real world, where dry cleaning isn’t (much) a part of daily life. Tide has been working on a super cool formula for the laundry room, so you can have your high fashion and wash it too. At home, in your real life. In fact, they’re so serious about this washable fashion business they’ve enlisted the prowess of world renowned fashion designer Tracy Reese to create four washable runway looks for Fall Fashion 2014 to debut in NYC in February.
But wait, it gets better.
This is going to be an interactive exercise, and this is the part where YOU GET TO CHOOSE what looks walk the runway at NYFW* in February**. Only two of the four looks will actually walk the runway, and you’re going to decide which two you like best. For real. Tracy Reese created these four sketches just for you, and now it’s time to vote.
Check out the sketches on my Pinterest boards and pin your favorite. The looks with the most pins will walk the runway in February. Fun, yes? Let’s do this. I’ve already pinned my favorite look and now it’s your turn! Go forth and pin. I love you. I love your style. Let’s choose the look together, shall we?
*NYFW = New York Fashion Week
** ‘NYFW in FEBRUARY for Fall 2014? That doesn’t even make sense!’ I know, it doesn’t seem like it makes any sense in the middle of Winter to talk Fall fashion, but that’s how it happens for real in fashion, waaaaaaay ahead of time.
// This is a sponsored partnership with Tide Pods, for which I’m grateful. It allows me to keep Petit Elefant up and running, so thank you. And you too. //
