cheap ballet flats for women

The other night I was at the mall with Precocious, something that happens so rarely it just felt really weird to type it.  I mean, we never ever go to the mall together unless we’re headed to a movie as a family.  It was actually a really nice, belated birthday present for my now 11-year-old tween: dinner and shopping without the boys.

After we’d shopped around for a while we headed to a shoe store *just to browse*.  Those two phrases don’t really belong in the same sentence do they?  Shoe stores & just browsing?

Anyway, halfway through the store, after we’d found a size 8 1/2 women’s shoe for my barely 11-year-old who has grown an entire shoe size in two months, I spotted these beauties.

I didn’t know what to do, so I tweeted out a call for help.  Natch.

Some of you thought they were hot, some not, but I bought them anyway.

Since I was already buying shoes for Precocious, I got these cheap ballet flats {slash kitten heels} for half off at $3.50.

Can I get a what, what?

These shoes may be funky, they might look like something that crawled out of the 80′s, but I’ve fallen in love.  The little kitten heel makes me feel like I’m a little dressed up, they’re totally comfortable, and the gold + pattern adds a little diversity to any outfit.

Gotten any fabulous deals lately, of the shoe or non-shoe variety?

Thanks! I wasn’t sure, but now I am. I’ve worn them for two days straight and they’re heaven.

I love them! My favourite steal of a bargain will always be a missoni wool shirt I got for 2 quid on eBay. Such quality and I can wear it all winter long. Wear those flats with pride! They’re cute!!

Oh, that IS a steal Jan!

Tell me something. Two quid is the same as saying two bucks right? Two bucks = two dollars. Two pounds = two quid?

It’s always bothered me.

Jodi, you’re my kind of girl. I wouldn’t have believed it if you’d told me but I’m wearing these almost every day. Super comfortable.
