stride rite shoes.

This is about the time of year my kids come to me for new shoes having trashed their own beyond repair grown out of their school shoes. Is your family like this? I buy great shoes for the kids in September, and by Halloween their toes are bursting out the front searching for breathing room.

I hadn’t experienced Stride Rite shoes until recently and I have to say, I am very impressed. My children possess the unique ability to destroy shoes, clothing, {bedrooms} at an alarming rate. They could single handedly complete all the research for toys, shoes, and clothing in their demographic. If a company wants to know how much wear and tear a product can take, send it my way.

Stride Rite shoes not only hold up to my children {amazing!} they are actually attractive, comfortable, and built to last {gasp!}. I’ve become a convert. They are perfectly sturdy for my little destructos, and attractive enough for me.

Sometimes I put out the fires and sometimes I start them. Sometimes I really do have it all together. Sometimes my children say otherwise. We just like to keep it real around here.

pediped children’s shoes.

I was recently introduced to Pediped, an amazing award winning children’s shoe company renowned for their wide selection of comfortable and stylish shoes. It shouldn’t have to be one or the other with footwear, especially when it comes to your children’s shoes. Pediped has managed to design a whole collection of shoes that are both comfortable and completely adorable. If you need further proof that they’re the coolest shoes in town, check out the photo galleries chock full of celebrity tots adorned in Pediped footwear.

I’m swooning over these Abigail’s. Maybe it’s the stitching that pushed me over the edge? No, the flowers. No, the stitching. Oh, I can’t decide! Why don’t they make them in my size?

cute shoes for kids.

Am I the last mom on the block to know about the adorable shoes from See Kai Run? I’m now singing their praises. It seems that toddler shoes readily available on the market (especially for boys) are too often bulky and without character. Not these from See Kai Run, which are obviously designed by a mom with an eye for style, function and comfort. All shoes are made of leather and are sturdy yet flexible, blessedly shoe-lace free with velcro closures, and there are lots of snappy styles for every kind of kid.

After much deliberation, I chose these for my M, understated yet dapper and just right for dressier occasions. At first sight M demanded to try them on and wouldn’t take them off until I forced them off at bedtime to sobbing wails:  ”New shoes! New shoes! Pweeeease!” Totally my kid.  If only they made shoes for grown-ups!

...by day, making a home where the buffalo roam. By night, pretty much the same thing, punctuated by the occasional fantasies of sunny beaches, italian movies and sparkling lemonade.

payless shoes.

Is anyone else in love with these shoes from Payless? They’re even on sale for $20 {!!!}. And they fit in perfectly with my current love affair with all things green.

Where {and how} do you wear these sassy little hot pink numbers? With jeans? With a shirt dress? Heaven help me, I think I need a pair of hot pink heels. Is that the ’80′s in me coming out?
I didn’t think it would come to this.

I blame my yearning for these entirely on my trip to N.Y.C. Everyone but the tourists was wearing them. And even though I thought they were a little ugly at first, they’ve grown on me, and now I want some. How do you think they’d hold up in the snow?

The moral to this story is, mama needs to pick up a few pair of shoes while taking the kids “back to school” shopping in the next few weeks. Who says moms don’t need a new{ish} wardrobe come Fall?

Have an amazing weekend everyone! Summer is sneaking past me at the speed of light so I think we’ll try to get in at least one trip to the pool this weekend. … >> find out more…
