A couple of years ago I did a little Maybelline vs Maybelline mascara face off to see which of the 3 grocery store mascaras in my makeup bag {at the time} was the best of the best.

Maybelline has of course come up with about eleventy billion different kinds of INTENSE EYELASH FIBER EXTENSION miracle mascaras by now, but these are some oldies and I thought it would be fun to pull this out again and see what some of the new readers think.

I’m a true blue through and through green and pink mascara lover, but my makeup bag runneth over these days;  I’m currently dating about ten different brands and they’ve wooed me with their eyelash magic.

I’m just not the same gal I was two years ago.

I’m curious what you use for skin care in your life.  I’ve used a variety of anything and everything from Aspirin to  olive oil to  to try and help this mug of mine look illuminated in any way possible.  I blame my kids, they destroyed everything lovely about my superficial appearance years ago and I’ve tried everything since to get it back.

BeautyMint, one of the divisions of the stylish company BeachMint, asked me to try some products from their recently created personalized skin care line for my specific brand of dermatological needs, and so far I really like them.

BeautyMint is a little like other mail order skincare brands in that they automatically send what you need every few months so you can have uninterrupted beauty products at your disposal.  I went to the BeautyMint website to fill out my skin profile which could have read:

for the stressed, overtired, oily, broken-out working mother of 2 kids who has yet to get her groove back.

Instead it said things like ‘would you like to increase the firmness of your neck?’ the answer to which is always YES PLEASE, send help!

They were a little more polite.
