Sanity–without feeling guilty!

2 Kat June 27, 2008 at 12:05 pm

Whoo Hooo! I would love to see how my child will react to these. He has not been much of a t.v. watcher, but I have to admit, there have been times I have locked him in the basement with me, turned on the t.v. and hoped he would sit down for five minutes while I collected my thoughts. Maybe something different would catch…and keep his attention.

3 kamewh June 27, 2008 at 12:10 pm

I would love to be able to pop one of these in and know that my child is learning something while I am getting housework done. Thank you for the giveaway!

33 PsychMamma June 28, 2008 at 11:38 am

Our 2 y/o daughter has to be on a feeding pump for 1 hour in the morning. This always goes best when she’s sitting still, and the best way we have found for that to happen is to pop in a movie. We’re always on the lookout for movies that are educational (and not annoying). We’ve been through the entire Baby Einstein series, and she’s pretty over that. I’ve heard of Braincandy and wanted to give the movies a try, but haven’t done it yet.

34 Anna June 28, 2008 at 11:44 am

I think these would keep me sane because my 2 year old would love watching them, and I wouldn’t have to feel bad about it because I know it would be beneficial to him to see them. Thanks for the giveaway!

35 Jennae June 28, 2008 at 12:12 pm

My daughter has an incredible vocabulary for a 2-year-old, and these DVDs would challenge her. She learns like a sponge, and it would be great for her since I’m a work-at-home mom. I can work without feeling guilty about what she’s watching.

36 Sunnyvale June 28, 2008 at 3:15 pm

I’d love to gift these to someone

37 cpullum June 28, 2008 at 8:55 pm

39 Foram June 28, 2008 at 11:47 pm

i am sick of watching the wiggles and all the other shows when i babysit these would help my babysitting job by alot atleast i think i think the children would be much happier watching these than wiggles.

Feresha13@yahoo.com

40 Erica G June 29, 2008 at 4:53 am

These would be great for those days when it is just too hot and humid to play outside here in Florida.

41 PS June 29, 2008 at 6:53 am

Right now the mosquitos are so bad we have to go outside with body armor on, and then we sweat to death! This would be great for those few hours that we really can’t go outside during the day because we get swarmed!

42 Buki Family June 29, 2008 at 7:46 am

my son loves to zone out in front of the tv and i dont allow him… but daddy does… so maybe daddy can at least let him watch something good for him.

43 hannademaster June 29, 2008 at 9:08 am

I’d love this set for my son, although he may not be able to enjoy them quite yet. HOwever, I know that they would help keep my sister sane this summer on HOT days when she can’t send my nephew outside!

hannademaster@yahoo.com

44 Jennifer Bogart June 29, 2008 at 9:08 am

Well, we are expecting our third baby any day now, and my preschoolers could definitely use this series to keep them entertained and educated while I’m busy with the new baby :) .

45 Joanne June 29, 2008 at 9:23 am

I need some variety in my life! I’m caught singing the Sesame Street songs from our ONE DVD when Andrew is napping.

JoanneMMHolt(at)yahoo(dot)com

46 vtBSBdiva June 29, 2008 at 12:19 pm

I think they would be great for my son, who does get tired of the same shows when we do watch thing 9Disney/PBS). They would be good to have just in time for when our second baby is due in a couple of days!

47 jennem June 29, 2008 at 12:53 pm

We are going on a cruise, and were going to take the portable dvd player for early-morning distraction. I think dd would love these.

50 moushka June 29, 2008 at 1:50 pm

I homeschool and even though it’s Summer we are continuing with learning. This set would be a wonderful asset so that I can get things done while my children enjoy themselves while still learning.

51 SECAVEN June 29, 2008 at 1:54 pm

i love educational tools like this. they are much better than cartoons or uninteresting tv shows that people use to keep their kids entertained. entertainment and learning all in one is definitely a plus for me. i’m all for winning this one. i would put it to good use.

52 idahomom June 29, 2008 at 3:10 pm

We have to drive 67 miles to the store. These would be great for the kids during the trip. Thanks for the chance.

54 Brie June 29, 2008 at 4:26 pm

I’d love to win these because sadly my son is becoming a TV junkie thanks to PBS. I’d love something else educational when there isnt PBS kids shows but he wants something to watch.

55 michelle June 29, 2008 at 4:50 pm

Summer. We need these since the boys are now off school. What are we going to do all day? Thanks goodness they love to watch tv!

56 ziggy789 June 29, 2008 at 5:16 pm

We could definitly use this DVD collection for some peace and quiet (now.. I really do know that is not going to happen). My son would really enjoy these DVDS. I will admit it, i let my son watch a little bit of TV everyday (ONLY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS) Thanks for the giveaway

57 endrase June 29, 2008 at 5:37 pm

My youngest daughter has autism. She is thrilled to learn through DVDs because, unlike people, they are so predictable. I always supplement her daily face-to-face lessons with a little DVD support. Braincandy’s products look engaging without being overstimulating and they talk about things that are important to her development. Great product!

58 melonkelli June 29, 2008 at 6:11 pm

Ooh, we could use some variety to our TV watching. And then maybe I can get some laundry/dishes done!

59 Scrappy Do June 29, 2008 at 6:21 pm

I’d love to win these DVD’s. I’ve seen them around on the ‘net and have heard great things about them.

60 Danielle June 29, 2008 at 6:25 pm

I NEEEEEEED these videos to help me occupy my son so I can get things done around the house. We have not had cable tv in our house for about 4 years now and have completely EXHAUSTED our video collection, so on rainy days I’m constantly hearing “Mommy, Im SOOOO bored!”
Help!!! ;-)

64 The Van Fam June 29, 2008 at 10:15 pm

Why do I need this? Well…for sanity of course! I have a VERY needy 8 month old daughter and I hate that I spend so much of my day keeping her from crying that my 3 year old does a lot of waiting. Like most 3 year olds, he loves tv…so this would be awesome! I am all for an educational program, preferably one a little more educational than Go Diego!!! Oh…and we are in and out of town ALL summer, so anything for the car is awesome!

65 J.M. June 29, 2008 at 10:47 pm

these look great, good for a change

66 maeflower June 29, 2008 at 11:11 pm

Why do I need these….because there are nighst when my littlest doesn’t let me sleep and I need something to keep the older ones out of trouble while I take a power nap!!

67 Katelaird June 30, 2008 at 5:53 am

My lord, are we allowed to admit our kids watch tv yet? I have 3 kids and this summer is long already with hubby away. I just need time to shower, to cook, to surf the net, to copy down a recipe into my notebook and if these dvds can do this for me guilt free? I would be thrilled. Truth be told they are watching Bunnytown right now so I can write.
I used to teach 1st grade before having kids and would love to again- these dvds look cool for that as well!

69 Susanne June 30, 2008 at 7:25 am

I’ve been letting my 2-year-old watch his big sister’s videos, and I’d like for him to watch some that are more age appropriate. These would be excellent teaching tools!

70 Heather June 30, 2008 at 8:22 am

We have four kids and I always love NEW dvds because nothing keeps kids quiet like a new show. Sometimes I just need a little quiet!

71 littlelatina June 30, 2008 at 8:31 am

I was checking these out on the site! They look great. My littlest son has just discovered the wonders of TV from seeing his older brother. This would be great for my boys!

72 Ellie June 30, 2008 at 9:43 am

These would be great to have for my son. We don’t get cable, so we rotate through our DVD collection… it would be fun to add these to the rotation!

73 mogrill June 30, 2008 at 11:12 am

My kiddo would really love this!

74 Staci June 30, 2008 at 12:35 pm

My husband is gone all day and night with school and work and my kids are so sick of Baby Einstein. I could really use something new to keep them entertained while I try to keep the house in some semblance of order during their few minutes of down time.

75 ann June 30, 2008 at 1:50 pm

These DVD’s look very interesting – especially for little ones that are just learning all about their surroundings. I know they would buy me some time to get my two little ones rooms painted (I REALLY want to get that done this summer!!) Thanks for the chance at the giveaway!
amguely (at) gmail.com

76 shimmala June 30, 2008 at 2:22 pm

We’re in the process of finding a new place to live, which means I didn’t want to waste money on camp or other classes for my 4YO, since I wasn’t exactly sure when this move was going to take place (we ideally want to move sooner rather than later, so we can get settled before school starts). So that means a LOT of downtime this summer! I feel so guilty, so getting this for my daughter would win me a lot of bonus points in her constantly changing opinion of me!

77 Anonymous June 30, 2008 at 2:29 pm

Sanity–without feeling guilty

78 wild thunder June 30, 2008 at 2:58 pm

it would be great to have these when we go on vacation for my son to watch. Thank you for the contest!!

79 Jennifer June 30, 2008 at 3:15 pm

81 Belinda June 30, 2008 at 7:03 pm

I need these! We live in a shoebox – oops, sorry I mean apartment and my toddler gets stir crazy. It’s now stinking hot outside, so we go for a swim in the early am, then hole up indoors until about 7pm when it’s fractionally more tolerable outdoors. She gets bored silly during that large middle chunk of the day and by the time eveing rolls around, I am hovering on the brink of sanity. (Ok, if you want honesty – I’ve usually fallen into the abyss by then . . .) Anyhoo, I’d love these! My cherub would be entertained and get some stimulation aaaand she’d have a semi-sane mom – sweet!

82 weblynx June 30, 2008 at 8:13 pm

I have to babysit 3 preschoolers for my sister this year. I need this to help keep my sanity

83 Teresa690 June 30, 2008 at 8:39 pm

84 jodi b July 1, 2008 at 12:33 am

My child LOVES television and I would love to have something that was of value for him to watch instead of the usual stuff!
fourblackmans@msn.com

85 Karen Scoffield July 1, 2008 at 9:49 am

I have seen these and would love to try them out and own them too! My 2 year old is bored with no siblings to play with. This would be a great option to keep him happy.

86 Jodi July 1, 2008 at 10:59 am

I think that there are times when we all just need a few minutes. I don’t believe in letting the tv baby sit, but I will admit to throwing a video in if I need to get something done without my children helping.

I would love to try these, it is great that they are entertaining and educational. thanks!

87 vmkids July 1, 2008 at 12:47 pm

I teach kids in my summer chruch program and this would be great

88 Eryn at HomeSchooledYear.com July 1, 2008 at 1:28 pm

My sister-in-law is getting married to a man with 2 very young boys this summer. We’re watching the boys (that’ll make 3 boys in the house under age 6) while they’re on their honeymoon, so this set of DVDs would be a great sanity-saver for me, mom and new aunt. Thanks for hosting this great give-away!

89 Amanda July 1, 2008 at 2:07 pm

because my kids love watching dvds and the more educational, the better.

90 Mistress Meeyee July 1, 2008 at 4:36 pm

91 Pretty Momma July 1, 2008 at 6:42 pm

92 Richard Hansen July 1, 2008 at 7:09 pm

They’re not for me. They’ll hopefully be for a young gentleman who’s suffered much in life.

93 May Goh July 1, 2008 at 8:19 pm

I’m sure my kids (5yo boy & 2yo girl) will benefit from watching this “5 Senses” DVD series.

A pity BrainCandy stuffs are not available here.

moving in with my mother-in-law. enough said.

95 Shelly July 2, 2008 at 11:58 am

To keep my daughter distracted – she has decided she no longer likes her movie collection

96 bison61 July 2, 2008 at 12:44 pm

we have had some days where it’s just too hot to be outside-so watching an educational DVD would occupy them for a short time

tiramisu392 (at) yahoo.com

97 Ashley July 2, 2008 at 1:19 pm

We’ve had an insanely hot and oppressive summer already, so we’ve spent much of our time indoors. It’s difficult not to get too stir crazy, and these DVD’s would really help break up our day making staying out of the sun a lot more enjoyable.

98 pauline15 July 2, 2008 at 1:57 pm

My son would loves to play, dance, and participate in the shows he watches on TV, I know he would love to play with these as well!

99 noey718319 July 2, 2008 at 3:31 pm

I would love these for my daughter, they are great! They would be able to see something worth while beside spongebob all the time, thanks!

100 Mommie Mikeworth July 2, 2008 at 4:50 pm

OKAY, are you ready???? I have three little ones 3, 2, and 7 months, plus one 2 year old I watch mon-thurs,-we live in AZ so unless I get them up and outside by SEVEN, lol, I have to plan an aray of things to keep all these little guys busy for an entire day! PLUS I have no dishwasher, I am the dishwasher, and my sink is overflowing!!! Finding something that will keep my little qt’s entertained and out of my hair long enough for me to wash the silverware is almost IMPOSSIBLE! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me get my kitchen clean!

101 Heather S July 2, 2008 at 8:26 pm

I need these to help my kiddos learn while having fun at the same time. Happy smart kids make sane parents!

102 cent_saving_mom July 3, 2008 at 1:21 am

Simply put something like this could allow me to escape briefly from my 2 and 5yr old while my 8mos old twins are napping long enough to take a shower! I can’t tell you when the last time I got to take a shower in the daylight on a weekday was. So a brief escape into the shower without fingers under the door or kids constantly entering and asking if I’m done yet, or if it’s their turn would be as close to sanity as it gets in this house! Additionally I really feel it would help my 5yr old with his speech apraxia.

The heat and lack of mental stimulation of a school-less summer is causing my kids’ brains to melt. This would put a spark in their minds.

It’s too hot and muggy to go outside, all the books have been read and the whining and arguing begins…Riding to the rescue comes braincandy to save my sanity and offer the kids entertainment and education in one fell swoop! Thank you braincandy, Thank You!
