This is the castle in Salzburg. It has nothing to do with anything, but isn’t it amazing?
After one of the craziest most exhausting weeks ever, I’m spending the weekend in bed watching Netflix with my pneumonia-ridden kiddo. There will be sleeping in, there will be no bras {for either of us}, there will be magazines and lots of sparkling water, many hot baths, no interaction with the outside world. Except for the 8:00 pm screening I’m planning of Crazy, Stupid, Love. I consider that enough interaction to last a whole week especially knowing Ryan Gosling loves me. {P.S. don’t call me a mommy blogger; I will cut you}
Here’s a little weekend reading for you while I’m away:
- Christine is hosting a $100 Tea Collection giveaway.
- Tracey’s daughter is going to run NASA someday. Someday soon.
- The Bloggess has a new pet/animal/taxidermy creature: Juanita. Juanita Weasel.
- Meagan is married with kids {and romance!} Props.
- Joy made some chocolate hazelnut pudding and it’s all I can do not to stray the path.
- Family friendly gluten free and {almost} vegan breakfast? Be still my meat-free heart.
- Organize your electronics using toilet paper rolls? Say what?
- Are you game for baked artichoke squares? I’m thinking about it.
- An inside look at melancholy from Maggie.
Crazy Stupid Love is so cute.
Know what’s even hotter? Drive.
(Although it’s kind of violent.)
I need to see Drive, like pronto. I’ll have Viktor narrate while I watch through my fingers- I hate the violence.
No bras, hot baths, and no interaction with the outside world? Sounds like a weekend to me.
I know huh? Like a spa weekend, minus the fever, cough, complete exhaustion.
thank you for the artichoke love!
you are gonna LOVE that movie. there’s a locker room scene that…umm..I…uhhh…yeah.
i think i’m gonna watch the Notebook tonight. I haven’t seen it yet! blasphemy, right?
(husband is away)
hope you all feel better!
Whaaaa? Put the Notebook in RIGHT NOW and grab a glass or three of wine. And maybe tissues.
#mommyblogger
you’re FIRED.
That movie never gets old! EVER! I mean, except for the mandatory awkward-rom-com-unrealistic-grand gesture-of-love (which I fast forward if I’m feeling efficient). Yay for RyGos being hot and funny! I recommend watching the double feature of Lars and the Real Girl and then Crazy Stupid Love. It’s a great mother with a pneumatically inclined son coping mechanism if I do say so myself…
I love that you fast forward to the good stuff, we all should. What is it with pneumatically inclined little boys? It’s horrid!
“Hey girl-pinterest can wait but our bubble bath can’t”
Made me giggle like a 15 yo!
Ashamed of myself!
Don’t be ashamed, it’s the funniest stuff on the planet.
I am dying over that Ryan Gosling /Mom Bloggers website!!
