whitening teeth at home: results

whitening teeth at home

Last week I showed you my manky yellow teeth {and wrinkles, but that’s neither here nor there} before I used some whitening strips on them. They were manky and yellow {or brown some say}, and now: What do you think? I put them on while I worked for two hours and no one noticed.  Sure, I work at home, but I was able to do a whole bunch of phone calls without anyone telling me I sounded 12.  With braces. …

I know.  Never mind the wrinkles.  I’m an unapologetic sun worshiper, and I have the laugh lines around my eyes to show for it. Anyway,…

how to organize your kitchen drawer

kitchen utensils

I don’t know about you, but my utensil drawer in my kitchen was a mess.  M-E-S-S.  I almost wish I had a before photo to show you so you’d believe what a train wreck it was.  You probably don’t have a messy drawer anywhere in your house, but I do.  I have plenty of them. After a little bit of begging from me, Viktor created some organization, and made me want to marry him all over again. The best part?…

Against all odds in life

first grade

This is the only picture I can find of my grandmother.  And if she knew I was posting this photo of her when she was within months of her death, she’d kill me. She really would.  She thought she looked like a dried out old monkey. Literally.  In fact she tried to slip a photo of a monkey to serve as her obituary photo, but my aunts and uncles intercepted it and used a real photo of her instead. It’s…

Mad Men secretary

film commercial

I styled  a commercial last week that involved a first day of work for the principle {main actor} with a fabulous secretary.  I had to make her a sexy Mad Men secretary.  I couldn’t help myself. The guys are usually standard, boring, suit and tie.  The suit I chose for the main actor was fabulous, a charcoal grey suit with a yellow striped tie from J. Crew.  It looked fantastic. But the secretary?  She looked ridiculous. By which I mean…
