P loves Mary Pope Osborne, the author of the fabulous series Magic Tree House. Osborne has written 38 {and counting} historical fiction books for early readers covering topics like the San Francisco earthquake of 1906 {Earthquake in the Early Morning} and William Shakespeare {Stage Fright on a Summer Night}. As a mom I love them because they are full of strong female role models, the stories are engrossing {for both of us}, and P has learned a lot of history along the way. I highly recommend every last one of them.

I loved reading this article about your body after having a baby. Maybe I’m reading too many magazines because sometimes I get discouraged looking at celebrities looking slim and toned shortly after giving birth. I schlepped around in pajama bottoms for weeks after both of my babies were born, and it took me close to a year to get my body back {both times}. Check out the article on babycenter, for a realistic perspective on your {beautiful} body by baby.

I’m sorely tempted to buy this wheelbarrow from Touched By Dutch. The wheelbarrow folds flat when not in use {so it would fit nicely in my shed without monopolizing space} and is reputed to be manageable for both toddlers & older kids. It might be worth getting just so C would be without an excuse not to help.

I think this bike would officially be the greatest Mother’s Day present. Ever. {I mean, besides a cruise to The Bahamas with my husband.} It’s so adorable and it’s such a great deal to boot! I could cruise around the neighborhood with the kids, ride with the kids to the park, or cruise to P’s soccer games.
